Marea Cordero
Marea’s show “Circle of Ancestors” will be on view from April 7 through May 16 in the Oak Park Main Library Gallery. Opening reception will be on Saturday, April 11, 2026 2:00pm–3:30pm. Event is open to the public. Marea is a Filipino American artist and advocate for various communities. She is interested in the alchemy of art in the process of healing. To Marea, art, community and education are powerful tools for growth. She is a Filipina on the Rise member, curator for Lumpia annual art show, and Chordoma Foundation Community member. Her work has been featured nationally in the Brushes with Cancer program. She is also a certified Healing Circle Facilitator and proud member of the Illinois Art Alliance. Marea is also a member of Sinag Art Collective, a group of filipino-american artists based in Chicago and neighboring suburbs (sinag.us).
