On behalf of the FACGC, I extend my heartfelt thanks to the University of the Philippines Alumni Association of Greater Chicago (UPAAGC) for their partnership, leadership, and stewardship in bringing the Oblation Suite to life.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us for the ribbon cutting — your presence made the occasion truly meaningful. It was a powerful reminder that community spaces like Rizal Center are sustained not just by walls and rooms, but by people who believe in shared purpose and collective care.
We are especially inspired by the words of 48th Ward Alderwoman Leni Manaa-Hoppenworth, who reflected that the transformation of Rizal Center is like a phoenix rising from the ashes — a symbol of renewal, resilience, and new beginnings. Her words captured the spirit of what this moment represents for our community.
As we open the Oblation Suite and envision it as the Kapwa Innovation Hub, we look forward to continuing this journey together — building a space where culture, innovation, and community uplift come together for generations to come.
With gratitude,
Jerry Clarito
Chairman, FACGC Board of Directors
