You are the one who frees others to work 

Because of you; the father or mother of your child can work properly. 

You are the one who controls the economy of this country. 

Because you care for the father and mother of your CEO boss, 

he can run his big business with a clear mind.

You are the one who ensures the health and prosperity of this Nation 

because you are the one who takes care of the homes and loved ones of the people 

who are busy with their respective jobs, but….

• Why are you not considered a worker by law?
• Why are you not protected by law?
• Why don’t you have a decent salary?
• Why don’t you have benefits, like maybe for your health?
• Why don’t you have a salary when your boss goes on vacation?

These and many more reasons 

why we should be urging politicians 

to pass the Illinois Domestic Workers Bill of Rights.

In Hawaii, New York, California, and Massachusetts, the Domestic Workers Bill of Rights passed, which isn’t bad if we’re the fifth state. 

The bad thing is that if we don’t unite to fight for the rights of workers at home.

Let’s use the strength of our unity to pass the Illinois Domestic Workers Bill of Rights. It started at AFIRE the other day. In the next steps, we are together.

We will promote what can liberate and protect our fellow workers. 

Long live Caregivers, Babysitters, Housekeepers, Personal assistants, etc.

Ikaw ang nagbibigay laya para ang ibang tao ay maka-gawa

dahil sa iyo, maayos na nakakapag-trabaho ang ama, o ina ng batang alaga mo

Ikaw ang may hawak nang ekonomiya nang Bansang ito

dahil sa pagkalinga mo sa ama at ina nang CEO mong amo

napapatakbo niya nang malinaw ang isipan ang malaki niyang negosyo.

Ikaw ang tumitiyak sa kalusugan at kasaganahan ng Bansang ito

dahil ikaw ang nangangalaga ng bahay at mahal sa buhay nang mga taong abala sa kani-kanilang trabaho,

subalit….

bakit sa batas, hindi ka itinuturing na Manggagawa?

bakit sa batas ay di ka protektado?

bakit wala kang disenteng suweldo?

bakit wala kang benipisyo, tulad ng siguro

para sa kalusugan mo?

bakit pag nagbakasyon ang amo mo

wala kang suweldo?

Ito at ang marami pang bakit

ang dapat nating inuukitkit sa mga politiko

para maipasa nila ang Illinois Domestic Workers Bill of Rights

Sa Hawaii, New York, California at Massachussett

ang Domestic Workers Bill of Rights ay pumasa na

hindi masama kung tayo ang Istadong pang lima.

Ang masama ay kung tayo ay hindi mag-kaisa

na ipakipag-laban ang karapatan ng manggagawa sa Tahanan,

Gamitin natin ang Lakas ng ating pagkakaisa

upang ating maipasa ang Illinois Domestic Workers Bill of Rights

Inumpisahan na sa AFIRE noong makalawa,

sa mga susunod na hakbang, tayo ay sama-sama na,

Isusulong natin ang makapag-bibigay laya at, proteksiyon sa kapwa natin manggagawa,
