Status Report
We are excited to share a progress update on Kusina ng Bayan, aka The Community’s Kitchen! Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we’ve reached 25% of our fundraising goal, raising $16,250 toward restoring this vital community kitchen. Special shout out to Alpha Nicolasin for leading a fundraising team that raised $2,300 in January alone! Maraming salamat, Tita Alpha!
Our volunteers have truly stepped up, doing an incredible job clearing out the kitchen and dining hall in preparation for renovation. Because of their hard work, we’ve already completed the demolition of the old ceiling, marking a major milestone in the project!

In February, we are aiming to install a new drop ceiling and demolish the existing kitchen floor to make way for new, restaurant-safe flooring materials. These upgrades will move us closer to reopening Kusina ng Bayan this summer as a safe and operational commercial kitchen to expand Rizal Center as a space for community meals, programs, and gatherings.

Maraming salamat to everyone who has contributed time, energy, and resources so far. This progress is a true example of bayanihan in action!
