Garet: Pinoys in Chicago — A Play About Migration, Morality & Compassion
In honor of Filipino American History Month this October, Rizal Center presents Garet: Pinoys in Chicago at the Little Theater of Rizal Center.
Garet is a powerful, character-driven play that explores the emotional, moral, and cultural realities of Filipino life abroad. Set in a cold Chicago winter, it follows friends gathered around a comatose Filipino immigrant and unfolds into an honest look at compassion, sacrifice, faith, identity, and what it really means to care for one another far from home.
We are looking for Filipino and Filipino American performers — actors, storytellers, stage and community voices of all experience levels — to join this meaningful production.

📍 Venue: Little Theater, Rizal Center
📅 Performance: October (Filipino American History Month)
