Volunteer Work Day at the Rizal Center!
July 6, 2025 @ 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Join us as we continue to give back to our home away from home. On this day, we’ll need your help with:
– Working in the garden
– Cleaning up
– Organizing and making space at our Community Center
– Painting the fence (we may be doing some fun paint work, so come ready to get creative!)
👉🏼 Special Showcase & BBQ!
🇵🇭✨🇺🇸 There will be a special showcase featuring families participating in our TINIKLING workshop with dancers from Lane Tech’s KHB Filipino Club. To thank everyone for their hard work, we’ll be hosting a BBQ in honor of the 4th of July weekend! 🇵🇭✨🇺🇸
WHAT TO BRING:
– Comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting dirty or painted
– Closed-toe shoes
– Sunscreen and a hat
– Reusable water bottle
– Gardening gloves (if you have them)
– Any favorite gardening or painting tools (optional)
WHAT TO EXPECT:
You’ll be working alongside fellow community members in a fun and supportive environment. Tasks may include gardening, cleaning, organizing, and painting the fence. Afterward, relax and enjoy a BBQ lunch and a special showcase featuring the talents and projects of families from our Tinikling workshop.
